Jurisdiction

As a family district court, the 318th District Court has concurrent jurisdiction with the other district courts in Midland County.  The Court's primary responsibility is for cases involving family law matters, including divorces, annulments, child custody, child support, child abuse and neglect, terminations and adoptions.  The Court also has responsibility for one-fourth of the felony criminal docket of Midland County.
