Judge Willie B. DuBose served the County Court at Law from its creation by the Legislature in 1978 until the end of 1990. Judge Al Walvoord served from January 1, 1991 until the end of 2010.  Judge Peeler has served since January of 2011.              The Court and offices were initially on the second floor of the Original Midland County Courthouse where Judge DuBose shared the County Judge’s Courtroom with County Judge Barbara G. Culver and subsequently with County Judge William B. Ahders. When County Court at Law No. 2 was created three judges shared the one courtroom.

This Courthouse, located at 200 W. Wall St., was reconfigured in 1992, and both County Courts at Law moved to offices and separate courtrooms in the basement.

County Court at Law Judge Kyle Peeler and County Court At Law No. 2 Judge Marvin Moore currently share the Sixth Floor of the Midland County Courthouse located at 500 North Loraine St. Their two courts are both served by Court Administrator Shirley Rodgers.
