Judge Robin Malone Darr
385th District Court

As Judge, I took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, and Texas. I will be a guardian of the Constitution.

I will continue my pledge to you, the citizens of Midland.

I offer the following commitments, with no fine print:

My court actions will be strictly governed by laws of Texas and the Constitutions of Texas and the United States.

I will say what I mean and mean what I say. There will be no hidden meaning or double talk from my bench.

I alone will be responsible for my professional and personal actions.

My Court will be conducted with the highest standards of professional conduct, with equal treatment of all parties.

I will listen to both sides. I will listen for justice—ways to protect law and order.

No case shall be delayed because I did not do my job. Justice delayed is justice for neither party.

I will make decisions in a timely manner.

I will not legislate from the bench. I have a conservative judicial philosophy.

I will stay abreast of case law.

My personal conduct will never embarrass you or the court.

In addition to this pledge, I will let my faith guide me in the administration of this Court.

Above all, I want to be knowledgeable about the cases before me; I want to be fair; I want to make right decisions; I want to continue to have good relationships with the attorneys that I already know and build new solid working relationships with others. I promise to do everything in my power to be a good Judge.

It is truly a privilege and an honor to serve as District Judge in my hometown of Midland.
