Fiction Guide - (Open to public)

This database aims to include the best, most enduring, and most popular novels in series that might appeal to today's adult readers. We define series broadly as:
  1. A sequence of novels that shows development of plot or character from book to book. Most works listed here fit this requirement.
  2. Novels that share a cast of characters or location, where chronology may be minimal or problematic - e.g., many mystery series.
  3. A group of novels that were conceived as a series by the author, such as Durrell's Alexandria Quartet.

Digital Commons Network - (Open to public)

The Digital Commons Network brings together
free, full-text scholarly articles from hundreds of universities and colleges worldwide. The Network includes a growing collection of peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, dissertations, working papers, conference proceedings, and other original scholarly work. ​
Vocational Information Center - (Open to public)

The Vocational Information Center website is an education directory that provides links to online resources for career exploration, technical education, workforce development, technical schools and related vocational learning resources.
Freegal Music - (Requires library card)

Freegal Music gives you access to:
  • over 9 million songs and 15,000 music videos.
  • over 28,000 labels including the Sony Music catalogue. 
  • Library users have a weekly download limit of 5. 
  • Music videos may be viewed and cost 2 downloads apiece. 
  • Each patron also recieves 3 hours of streaming music every day.

Driving Tests - (Open to public) is a website for learners who want to practice their skills before taking the real DMV permit test. The site provides practice tests for every state in the U.S. Currently we are working on adding more tests to our database, so if your test is not included yet, please check back later or sign up for our newsletter, and we’ll notify you as soon as more practice permit tests are published!

Every permit practice test presented on the site contains a series of multiple-choice questions. After the learner answers the question, they immediately see whether the answer was correct or not. We also provide a hint (to be used before giving the answer) and the explanation (to check after you have provided the wrong answer).

Careeronestop is the main career website sponsored by the United States Department of Labor.  It is free to use to search for jobs, obtain career/training information, and access online tools and resources. 

The ONET (or Online Information Network) is a free database sponsored by the United States Department of Labor where users may research information, and determine skills, on a wide variety of occupations.

In order to assist the library community, TLA has developed a resource page for librarians on the new federal healthcare law. The resource links connect librarians and the public with government sites (some of which include fact sheets) and a webinar (created for the library community) on issues related to the legislation.​ ​
