COVID-19 Precautions at midland county public libraries
In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and promote public safety, MCPL will close both library locations beginning Tuesday, March 24, until further notice. Click here to read a message to our patrons and community from Library Director Debbie Garza.
The library encourages patrons and community partners to take advantage our digital resources. In addition to the resources always available to cardholders, our staff has compiled a curated list of online resources that may be especially useful during this time.
Library staff are developing programs and services that can be offered virtually, as well as reconfiguring our current programs so that those can be offered virtually. Check for updates on these programs and services on our website and social media.
All book drops will be closed until further notice. Loan periods have been extended. Library card expiration dates also have been extended.

Census Week: March 23-27
Households should start receiving letters from the US Census Bureau on March 12 inviting them to fill out their questionnaire online or by phone. Here is an example of the invitation letter. Here is an example of the questionnaire.
