Child Protection Court

The Child Protection Court will be conducting video hearings on essential matters. The dockets will be posted on the usual txcourts.gov website and the hearings will be conducted via Zoom and live-streamed via YouTube. Any questions about participation in the hearings should be directed to Court Coordinator Marisol Montes at mmontes@mcounty.com.


County Clerk

Midland County Clerk’s office has closed their doors to the public due to health concerns over COVID-19 until further notice. We will continue to assist other county offices and accept e-recordings, e-filings, e-mails and phone calls. Please visit our website Midland County Clerk for directions on how you can obtain copies or make payments.
If you need to obtain a marriage license you may schedule an appointment by calling 432-688-4401.


District Clerk

The Midland County District Clerk’s Office is closed to the public due to the Health et Safety of the Citizenry during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.  Daily business operations continue with a reduced staff on a rotational schedule.  Our hours of operation remain the same (Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM).  Should you have inquiries, require information, copy of documents, payment transactions etc., please call our General Office Number (432-688-4500) et enter one of the following Extensions:

District Attorney

The District Attorney’s Office is open but we are operating with reduced staff and on a rotating basis. The Pretrial Intervention Office is currently closed to the public. Please visit their website for further instructions and information: Midland County District Attorney.

Pretrial Bonding

Defendants with scram monitors will need to come in to download and all other defendants call your officer for further information. To the public: the lobby is only open to those inquiring about bonding someone out through Pretrial Bonding.


Public Libraries

Both Midland County Public Libraries are closed. Read a message to our patrons and community from Library Director Debbie Garza.


Sheriff’s Office

We are open for business as usual. We request that citizens please call for any assistance that can be provided over the telephone. We hope to reduce risk of viral exposure to the citizens as well as our employees. If you have an Emergency, dial 911. If you have an non-emergency call 432-688-1040. For any other issues or information call 432-688-4600. 


Tax Office

UPDATE: We are now set up In the outside lobby of the Annex for registration renewal drop offs. You still have to have a current State inspection, proof of insurance and proper payment. For this drop off process, we will only accept money orders or checks made out to Karen Hood, TAC. NO CASH. If you are not sure of the amount owed, please call (432) 688-4810 for assistance. 

To help protect the citizens and employees from exposure to COVID-19, the Tax Office is closed to the public until further notice. The State has allowed for a 50 day extension for most motor vehicle transactions. You may mail your transactions to:

Title IV-D CHILD SUPPORT COURT

Unless otherwise notified, the IV-D Child Support Court will be conducting all hearings via Zoom and live-streamed via YouTube. The Attorney General will contact you with details on when and how to attend the hearings. Any questions about participation in the hearings should be directed to the Attorney General at 432 333-1464 or the Court Coordinator Latricia Morris at latricia.morris@txcourts.gov .


Treasurer’s Office

The Treasurer’s Office is open and doing business as usual, with a limited, rotating staff. 


WARRANT SERVICES

Warrant Services has modified its office procedures. The lobby will be closed to the public. You can drop off payments by sliding them underneath the door. If you need the amount of the payment, please call 688-4700 and you will be given all of the information needed. If Paying on warrants, you can pay online here through the Justice of the Peace court web pages. Also, online payments can be made here through the County Clerk page.
