The Patrol Division of the Midland County Sheriff's Office is led by Lieutenant Richard Hain. This division serves as the frontline of our commitment to community safety. Our dedicated deputies actively patrol all 902 square miles of Midland County, responding to calls for service, enforcing laws, and proactively working to prevent crime. This division also includes our Crisis Response Team which is a unit dedicated to responding to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Our team is composed of trained personnel who are skilled in de-escalation techniques and equipped to assist individuals and ensure that those in crisis receive the support and care they need, promoting safety and facilitating connections to vital community resources within Midland County. This division also includes our Animal Control Unit, dedicated to the welfare and safety of animals in our county, and our skilled K9 Unit, which provides specialized support for patrol functions, searches, and drug detection. We are committed to being visible and accessible, ensuring a swift and effective response to the diverse needs of our community, both human and animal. Our goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all residents and visitors of Midland County.
