Class C Misdemeanor Cases
A class C misdemeanor is a case that is punishable by fine only. These cases include:
- Alcohol and tobacco violations
- Hot checks
- Parks and Wildlife violations
- Penal code offenses
- Shoplifting
- Traffic tickets
- Truancy
Justices of the Peace also enforce certain county and state ordinances; including environmental violations, illegal dumping, and burn bans violations.
