Biography
Brent Morgan is the son of longtime Midland family law and criminal defense attorney, Tom Morgan. Judge Morgan returned to his hometown of Midland to practice law with his father after graduating from Texas Tech Law School in 2005. While practicing with his father, Brent sat first or second chair on many successful trials and appeals, handling criminal defense and all manner of family law cases, including child support, child custody, and divorce matters. On January 1, 2017, he left his father's office to start his own firm with his wife, Piper Morgan. Until his appointment, the Morgan Law Firm continued to thrive and expand. On August 15, 2025, Governor Abbott appointed Brent Morgan to be the Sitting Judge of the 318th District Court.
