Volunteer at the Library

The Midland County Public Library recognizes and appreciates the hard work and unique talents the volunteers of the community offer to the Midland County Public Library throughout the year. All work performed by volunteers is done without compensation and with no expectation of future employment with the library.

Social Impacts and Community Engagement Coordinator, Megan Buck, welcomes applications (PDF) to volunteer your time and talents at the Downtown and Centennial libraries. There are many opportunities to assist in the library both working with the public and working in the background.

Exhibit Volunteers Needed

Centennial Library's exhibit, Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood FavoritesTM   needs volunteers to monitor the exhibit area, keeping visitors safe and maintaining a tidy and inviting atmosphere for children and adults to explore and learn.

This opportunity is perfect for anyone who enjoys working with children in an active environment. Students in need of Legacy hours are encouraged to sign up for weekends, after-school hours and spring break.

Volunteers who are 18 or older must undergo a background check prior to their volunteer shift. Please contact Megan Buck for the required form or visit Midland Volunteer Connections for more information.

Teen Volunteers

There are opportunities for teen volunteers at the library.
